GOALS
Research, concept, design, and typeset a series of three posters for the Fast Company Innovation Festival.
Each poster needs to be typographic and work cohesively as a series while also being unique to each of the three speakers.
Design one poster for each speaker or panel selected.​​​​​​​

POSTERS
SPEAKER BIO
The speaker bios are taken from the Fast Company Innovation Festival’s website. They describe the speaker and presentation and include the location and theme of the event.

SPEAKER PHOTO
Fast Company’s images of the speakers were given a halftone effect and then Image Traced in Adobe Illustrator to create dynamic graphics, making them feel futuristic.

QR CODE
The QR code to purchase tickets for the festival is found on each poster.
A DECADE OF INNOVATION
Fast Company’s 10 icon represents the 10th anniversary of the festival.

SPEAKER NAME
The speaker’s last name is typeset in a typeface reminiscent of neon signs, which are commonly found in NYC where the festival takes place.

VIBRANT COLOR
Each poster features a different color from the festival’s branding. Ryan and Lin-Manuel’s posters correlate to the badges on their images on the festival’s website. Lana’s poster is blue to add a cool tone to the series.
ID CARDS
ID CARDS
The ID cards resemble the posters by utilizing the same colors and typefaces. They also introduce new elements to the design system, such as gradients and colored shapes. Instead of the graphic images on the posters, I used the presenter images found on the Fast Company Innovation Festival’s website, so security and personnel could easily identify the speakers.

Rather than the IDs appearing as the average ID card with a small image block, I removed the image backgrounds and had them take up almost the entire card. This creates a bold, dynamic composition, making the speakers instantly identifiable.
LANYARDS
The lanyards accompanying the ID cards feature a colored bar that reflects the color of the respective ID. The color transitions into black as it approaches the clip, matching the gradient on the ID design. The Fast Company and Innovation Festival logos, along with the 10 icon, appear on the lanyards against a black background, connecting them to the poster designs.
